After returning to his Get Back tour this autumn, Sir Paul McCartney has taken a moment to reflect on this past year.

In 23 fan questions for 2023, as posted on his official website, the music legend spoke of how Hey Jude was his favourite song to play live on the current tour.

Macca also said how he found hearing John Lennon’s crystal clear voice on The Beatles’ final song Now and Then “very emotional”.

Meanwhile, one fan asked: “Is there anyone else you would like to sing a duet with?”

The 81-year-old replied: “Bob Dylan keeps coming up in my mind, but I don’t know if we’ll ever get round to it.”

This isn’t the first time McCartney has said this about Dylan in recent years, having been asked about desired collaborations in a Reddit AMA three years ago.

Macca said at the time: “I’ve always had a sneaky feeling to collaborate with Bob Dylan, but it’s never happened. It’s intriguing, but…”

He was also asked by another fan which artist living or dead he’d most like to record an album with.

McCartney replied: “There’s an awful lot of them. John Lennon, he’s pretty good.

“And then there’s George. And Ringo. And then there’s Elvis. And Chuck Berry… It’s impossible to choose, the list goes on and on!”
