Lady Sarah Chatto wore elegant orange shawl at brother’s wedding

David Armstrong Jones, 61, the son of the late Princess Margaret, married Serena Stanhope, 53, on October 8, 1993, at St Margaret’s Church in Westminster.

The couple has two children Charles Armstrong-Jones, Viscount Linley, 24, and Lady Margarita Armstrong-Jones, 21.

The Earl and Countess of Snowdon filed for divorce in 2020, 27 years after they tied the knot.

But back in 1993, the couple married in a lavish society wedding, attended by the late Queen and Princess Diana.

The real showstopper in attendance, however, was David’s younger sister Lady Sarah Chatto.

Lady Sarah, who was 29 years old at the time, wore an unembellished rust-coloured straw cloche hat to the wedding.

She accompanied this with a white trouser suit, with a long-sleeved tunic that looked incredibly smart.

In addition, Sarah opted for an orange shawl which she wrapped around her neck and draped across her shoulders in an elegant fashion.

The orange and white look went perfectly with Sarah’s rust-coloured hat at her brother’s 1993 wedding.

Sarah accessorised with a multicoloured beaded bracelet and stunning white pendant earrings, with a star shape suspended at the bottom.

The royal carried a beige clutch bag and showed off her gorgeous vintage engagement ring, as she had recently become betrothed to her now-husband Daniel Chatto.

The pair married in 1994 the following year at St Stephen Walbrook Church in the City of London, a ceremony also attended by Princess Margaret, the late Queen, and Princess Diana.

For this occasion, Lady Sarah looked phenomenal in a custom Jasper Conran wedding dress.

Lady Sarah met Daniel Chatto in India while travelling with her father Antony Armstrong-Jones in the 1980s. Daniel was working on the film, Heat and Dust.

The 59-year-old royal and Daniel have two children, Samuel, 27, and Arthur Chatto, 24.

Though Lady Sarah does not undertake public duties, she frequently attends events and ceremonies with the wider Royal Family.

This includes events like Royal Ascot and the recent Coronation of her cousin King Charles III.
