DxO FilmPack, the major new version of DxO Labs’ popular analog film simulation and creative effects software, adds 65 more exciting versions and exciting new effects to help photographers give their images more emotional impact and a unique style, regardless of whether they are in color or black and white. Over 80 high quality analog film exposures

DxO FilmPack screenings are created in DxO’s labs, using a unique scientific process to catalog each film in depth. This process is based on a series of specially selected target images as well as real-life objects taken and photographed to be profiled. The film is then developed by the world’s most respected processing laboratories, particularly PICTO in France and Duggal in the United States, and then subjected to high-quality digital processing to measurethe reaction of the film and obtaining granular matrices. This process allowed DxO to produce a fully high-quality rendering of the distinctive appearance, color and grain of 83 negative, black-and-white story films, slides and summaries simultaneously.

Constructions

Using the texture tool, choose from a variety of textures, scratches, stains, grains or crumpled paper to give your photos a retro look. Filter the size and direction of your effect, and then use DxO FilmPacks’ intuitive controls to apply it to the mood.

The emission of light

Using the light leak board, simulate accidental exposure of a film cartridge to light and reproduce areas of overexposure or scattered colors at the edges of the image. Choose the type of effect you want to use, its direction, its size and change its position as you like.

Frame

The DxO FilmPack offers approximately 20 passepartout black or white, darkroom, slide, instant, film, glass, or paper master frames. Specify their location inside or outside the image and their thickness to display your images.

DxO FilmPacks brilliant new microcontrast tool is even better for local contrast correction and gives you more flexibility. The algorithm uses multiscalea filter that blurs details while highlighting image contours. Contrast is best improved by avoiding halo effects, and is particularly improved in highlights. It is also possible to work on all highlights of light ranges, mid-tones and low lights for more precise adjustments. It’s perfect for sharpening a landscape image or giving a unique look to an image by highlighting details in the skin.

Advanced settings: add tone to your black and white images Use DxO FilmPacks’ many advanced settings to control and display your black and white images.
