Last week, Andrea Bocelli was forced to postpone concerts after doctors told him “that it could be dangerous to my health for me to sing”.

Instead, guest performers including his 11-year-old daughter Virginia Bocelli sang on his behalf at a “short impromptu concert” in Philadelphia, while he played the piano.

Nevertheless, the 65-year-old appears to be on the mend having returned to singing live on Good Morning America this week.

Promoting the deluxe version of their A Family Christmas album, the father and daughter sang a duet of Let It Snow on the TV show.

Meanwhile, Andrea had a special surprise for his daughter that he shared with her backstage.

The Italian tenor presented his daughter with a special plaque for A Family Christmas which sold over 500,000 albums.

The festive record that they made with Andrea’s son Matteo Bocelli was the best-selling new Christmas album of last year and also Virginia’s first album and first gold record.

Clearly, the future is bring for the maestro’s talented children with Matteo having released his debut solo album in September.
